Now after reading this post I looked at my bm42A and noticed the same thing as blade_420 except that it is on the opposite handle and the opposite side. The "holes" do look the same as 420's does. May be mine was also made by the same mold.:mad: Maybe someone should email the people of benchmade and ask them about these "defects".

well, since this is going to lie dormant might as well make it an Off Topic thread.

So how was everyone's day?

Today I began my first day at my first job. I worked 7 and a half hours straight. It's at the halloween store in the mall. We're shooting to open tomorrow around noon. We pretty much got the place up today. LOTS of lifting and crap :p. The most tedious thing I had to do was go around to every single carousel (the gun rack-like thingees) and cut off the slack on the ties that held them together :p. Man, did I wish I had my 42S. Luckily, I had my neck knife that's half serrated. That was a godsend, since he would have had me using the razor blade. ::gag::. That thing would have taken FOREVER. THANK YOU TO WHOEVER INVENTED THE SERRATION. Unforunantly it got a tad dull, and I was considering trecking down to Eastern Mountain Sports to buy a CRKT Bear Claw, but I didn't because I'm going to use that money to buy the Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal DVD's tomorrow. I'm going to ask my boss how she feels about me having my 42S on me for utility purposes, because I could find it REALLY REALLY useful.
I only stopped twice for like, a minute to go grab a drink from the machine outside. I got Code Red Mountain Dew's both times. I downed one in 30 seconds. Fortunantly, one of the guys in charge said today was the hardest day. I'm still sore :p. My feet are like, DEAD. My right middle finger got so tired from tearing up boxes that it started to cramp and wouldn't straighten out.
But I get $7 an hour, so it's all good. I'm working tomorrow from 10 to 6 I think. Woo! money! I'll be working a few more days this week/weekend too, so I'll have around $150. I'm considering buying a 43. And yes Blackjack, if I get a numbered one with the number 21, I'll sell it to you ;).

so who's next?
 
Well looking forward to going back to good old school tomorro. Worked on my last free day :( . Preparing to go to the gun show this weekend. Probably going to stink like last ones. I want a SWAT but a still considering it. Oh Well.:D
 
I woke up two hours late for work. All day long, I was doing one thing wrong after another. I come home, start flipping my 42. It flies out of my hand and lands tip first into a leather chair.

I'm hoping tomorrow goes better. :p
 
Well since this will be a off topic thing I guess I will also contribute ! Today I got back from a trip. I went with my g/f and her family and it was fun. We went to Eugene, Oregon to vist my g/fs mom's friend. She(dona) recently finish all her breast cancer stuff so we do see her every once in a while. I left on Friday and came back today so that makes it a 4 day trip. I did bring my jag and my bm42a with me. Although all I did use it for was to cut some fishing line that was for Donas boys. She has 3 boys. I did show them my bm42a and they were speechless. They are 9,7,6. As you can figure they really look up to me. I guess the only bad thing that did happen this trip was I didnt erally get a chance to flip my balis much except in the tent with my g/f hiding under the sleeping bags.:D Man I love oregon casue there isnt any sakes tax.:D Well I think I talked enough for now. Oh yeah one more thing did anyone have trouble going onto the forms on saturday or sunday I forgot which day it was.
