Haha, i got home from work today and found these waiting for me.

My wife decided to treat me and buy me a new Destern Tan ESEE 4 and an ESEE fire kit..what a girl :) Had it waiting for me when i got home from work!

I guess i"m a lucky man!. Anyway, i cant wait to go and use this knife/firesteel combo...awesome product...I love the DT.

Nice going, I just got my first ESEE (Junglas) & the fire kit this week. I have 2 Izula's coming, (one in pink as a surprise for my wife, breast cancer survivor), & can't wait until they get here. Knowing her, a camping trip will probably replace dinner out. Enjoy the gifts.

Man, that was definitely worth a dinner, I hope you at least did that.

I had a DT RC-4, sold it it a friend who needed it worse that I did. I still have a DT Izula and wish one of my HESTs and one of my 3s was DT. The firestarters are awesome.
 
Congrats on the new steel buddy :thumbup: That's really cool the wife bought you a DT 4 ; mine would never do that ( I still Love her though ) I would be doing something nice in return for that. :) RC6S inbound for me soon.:thumbup:
 
Yeah, we are going out for dinner thursday night. Somplace fancy, then to a movie. I buy her flowers quite a bit and i ambushed her with a new jewelery case the other day, but i was totally caught off guard with this suprise!

The DT 4 looks so " preppy" next to all of my green and black blades...i like it though. Its a nice piece of steel.. Family ESEE photo coming up.

I wondered if it would be mentioned as I read down the thread....lol!

My wife (just last week) asked me "Was I gonna get a new Glock this Christmas.....or was I gonna get a new canoe?"

.... hhmmm 19 years of marriage...my "caution flag" went up...

"well", she says..."I know our plan isn't up for another year...but I was thinking we could all get those iphone 4's"..... yeah...I knew that was coming. :D

seriously...you got a nice wife man...and a GREAT knife/fire starter combo there!!!!
