MY METHOD:

Lost knive: Benchmade Benchmite 310.
I love this knive, some how it makes losing it harder and easier?

1: Accuse someone of stealing it, ( I usally do this right away after a quick look around to speed up the process, and it usally works.)

When this method fails:

1: Do a fearless searching physcial inventory of everything, I have and where I have been.

2. Search the net, find this fourm, search for another one, when i couldn't find one anywhere, ask for advice on proper replacement.

3. Give up on finding it and order another one, actually two or more works better.
I got caught up in the advice of the fourm and ordered a "Buck Advantage Pro Small, and a Pro Large Avid. I'm also now very interested in a "Yuna EQ2", I would of ordered one of these also but it would take 5 months to make, I still might. Since I love this knive it's hard to find an adiquate replacement and justifies going all out.

4: Admitt this to my wife

5. Look in my bath kit case I used when taking a trip and couldn't take the on the plane.

Ta Da!!!!

If these methods don't work, which they usally do, maybe in similarities, I don't know what would. Any have any other use full ideas for next time?

I'm happy I found my Benchmite 310.

i lost my cheapo balisong in a chair a while back.... must of looked for the thing dozens of times... my sister comes along, and it shows up out of nowhere...

i look under my car seats and on any bags that have molle or pals straps on 'em. works every time.

Buy a new one, about 15 minutes after it crosses your threshold the one you lost will turn up.

This. Plus, then you double your chances of finding it when you inevitably lose it again. :p

That has seriously happened to me like three times.

I have only lost one knife out of the 200 that I have owned/ currently own, and it was a 4 dollar china made POS

But another one. That pretty much ensures it will be found. Kinda like lighting a cigarette (when you used to be able to do that) in the restaurant. Your food always arrives around the 2nd drag.
