given..... that sellers who post knives for sale may get private emails, PM's, and post on several forums.
If ......someone publicly comments while a listing is active, some negative opinions like saying inappropriatly their hunches, make dollar value comparisons, or anything that might cause other readers to create seconded thoughts ....then

I am sure the OP would report that. Some folks make it clear that only or nothing besides comments like "I'll take it" or "Please don't clutter my offer" and use email and perhaps a PM may be included.

So, what is proper and not proper when only the presumptions are basic courtesy using All means to communicate which leads to happy buyers and sellers.

Where would 'Props' like positively posting entries about their opinion and wherher the price is super cheap........ And any other personal opinions which land on the side of supporting the item be in the eyes of BF members? When the listings are still active either can happen. Often after a sale is completed, perhaps then is the time for other certain meaningful additions, if the post has not been locked?

I guess what I mean to say is, if detractions are surely met with dissatifaction then what makes attractive banter OK? What's right or wrong?

Read the Exchange Rules: https://www.bladeforums.com/help/exchange-rules/

Rule #5 under "Buyers/Buying"
  1. Do not post in a person's thread unless you have an implicit interest in buying the item. Posts like, "Nice knife!", "Why is the price so high/low?", "I wish I had funds" are not allowed. This means absolutely no commentary or feedback in someone's sales thread. Seriously, if you stomp on someone's ad, your account can and will be locked. The only exception to this is in the Knife Makers Market areas (if the maker/craftsman requests and welcomes feedback). Save questions and offers for email rather than cluttering the thread.
(it is item 5 in the list, but the cut/paste renumbered it to 1)

I don't look at the Exchange forum unless I am interested in buying, but if I see that crap in someone's thread I report it myself. Doesn't have to be the seller. Anyone can report posts that violate Exchange Forum rules.

It's not a chat room, it's for buying and selling. If you are not asking questions as a serious buyer, stay out of the thread.

I have often wanted to post a comment when I had an opinion about an item for sale but I had to remind myself, the Knife Exchange is not a "forum", it's a market place. I think it would be considered rude to comment as a third party in any place of business. You wouldn't hang out at the Apple store just to let everyone know how overpriced the new iPhone is. There need be only two participants in a sale thread, the seller and buyers. I believe the Feedback forum (Good, Bad and Ugly) is an appropriate place to post your comments on an item, sale or seller, but be careful not to ruin your reputation. If sellers think you are a potential problem, they may block you or simply refuse to do business with you.

With Rukus in the title I was hoping this thread was about these.
