Well, if anyone is interested, I have recently received a quote to replicate my X90 (modified B90 with [3] Sanyo 2400MAH) from a well-respected manufacturer of batteries for industrial applications here on the West Coast.

The battery would be identical to the Surefire B90 in dimensions and circuitry (so it would function in both the 8AX and 9AN series), and uses (3) Sanyo 2400MAH batteries.

For more info: see the following threads:

If I could get orders for 100 pcs., the cost would be approximately $33.00/pc., plus shipping.

If I could get orders for 250 pcs., the cost would be approximately $28.00/pc., plus shipping.

Now I realize there may not enough interest in these batteries to warrant actual production, but you don't know until you ask.

If interested, please email me at ron-guncollector@attglobal.net.

If enough interest and eventual commitments are received, then I would go forward with the production order.

Best Regards,

(11/26 Note: in 24 hours, I've received commitment for approximately 14 pieces from 3 persons. So there is an undercurrent of interest.

So, if interested, please let me know by emailing me your name, address, tel #, forum/username).

Thanks!)

Ah, then you've got all your bases covered!

I don't suppose you could inquire about a rechargeable pack for the E2/E2e lights? I don't own a rechargeable Surefire...

What is the advantage of doing this? or is this just a replacment battery when one is needed? please explain. i use a 8nx commander and would be interested.

I have a 9AN with speed charger. Is the big difference that the batteries you are ordering hold their charge longer, or did I miss something else. Please break down the direct advantages. I have the B90 batteries and a B91 battery that they no longer make. Thanks, Reagan

Real quick:
A lot of Surefire B90 battery sticks were/are potentially defective. There may also be a problem with the C400 fast charger and these battery packs. SF has temporarily suspended distributing the rechargeable models using the B90 battery because of the problems.

The SF B90 is rated at 1600 or 1800MAH, depending on who you talk to. In my testing, I believe it is a 1600MAH cell in the battery stick.

The 2400MAH battery stick may increase runtime by 60% or so, in theory. Real life runtimes, at least with my 8X and home-built B90 (2400MAH) has been about 70-80 minutes on/off.

Dano, thanks for the break down. I will try and set a few bucks aside if I get some money for Christmas. Sounds like good batteries. Thanks, Reagan
