for those of you who have the 9AN about how long does a freshly charged battery last in it?

hmm, now that i think about it i have another question too. what exactly do SF turbo kits do? are the lamp assemblies higher output, or are the heads just bigger and focused differently? are the runtimes any lower?
thanks

The SureFire 9AN B90 NiCad Battery will give you about 40 minutes runtime at 140Lu output.

How long will the B90 remain charged in the flashlight? Roughly a month I guess before you start to notice a drop in runtime because NiCads like other batteries loose their charge over time.
The B90 can be left on charge in the CN400 Smart/Rapid Charger (the charger will maintain a full charge without damaging the B90).

Keeping with the 9AN, the KT3 TurboHead Kit is a 2.5" diameter Reflector that focuses the light into a tighter, more intense beam for illumination at longer ranges. The Lamp for the KT3 is the N3. It is also 140Lu/40mins.

SureFire TurboHeads allow the flashlights to be used for longer range illumination compared to the standard Bezels by focusing the light output into tight, intense beams. In general, the TurboHead lamps have the same output/runtime characteristics as the standard Bezel lamps.

Example:
The M3 uses either the MN10 (125Lu/60min) or MN11 (225Lu/20min) Lamps.
The M3T uses either the MN15 (125Lu/60min) or MN16 (225Lu/20min) Lamps.

There are a wide range of TurboHead options for SureFires.

Al,
thanks for the info, thats just what i wanted to know, i occasionally visit CPF but everytime i leave that site im even more confused:confused: , too many numbers i guess:) thanks for breaking it down for me.

ok, now i have two more questions, about how many charging cycles do the B90s last? and do the SF tipoff beamshapers leave a hole in the middle of the beam like most other flashlights do, or does it just spread it out more?

How many times can a B90 be recharged?
I guess it is very dependant on useage.
When some manufacturers state many thousands of recharges for their battery packs, I doubt this is realistic.
I'm not certain what SureFire says. I *guess* under a thousand, but could be very wrong.

Regarding the SureFire BeamShapers - These give a very even, diffuse output for very close range illumination. I sometimes use the TurboHead BeamFilter when working under the car "hood", or small enclosed spaces. The Beam is Flawless (no holes, rings etc). I gather the BeamShaper is some sort of frosted Lexan.
