Anyone handled one, If so did you like it? Looks like a great knife, and I like them on the big side. It's one of the first surefire knives they came out with and I don't think they make them any more. Anyone know where I can get one, or one of similar design, or the same maker but not custom? here's a video link, check it out.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ql11VKw6Dm4

my bro-in -law has an alpha, i like them myself, have been threatening to get one for a couple yrs now, of all the SF knives the alpha is the only one that "grabs" me, i wish it was tip up vs tip down and the dual pocket clips are kinda "funky" but all in all its a pretty good albeit expensive knife, the F&F on my bro-in-laws is top notch, lock up is excellent, it is a little large for some but i like big knives, IIRC the blade is a little over 4".

I haven't seen that knife until I saw the video you linked, but I'll tell you, I don't know exactly why, but that knife hits the spot for me.

I would grind a secondary bevel, and then I think I would really enjoy the knife. I like the dual pocket clips, because I'd be likely to use that knife as a secondary EDC for when I want something bigger than my normal knife. As a result, sometimes I would put it in one pocket, sometimes clip it to my waders when fishing, etc.

If I could find a reasonable price, I'd buy it. So I guess my advice to you, is buy it, if you can find it for a fair bit less than $400. I'm thinking I'd be personally willing to pay $200 or less. No idea if that's a reasonable figure, that's just me.

I really like it alot, If I could find one atall I'd probably get it. Don't seem to be around though, maybe on the secondary market. Or maybe trade for it if any one had it, but it's nice, I like everything about it, Mostly the blade shape and the big flipper. and whoever said my timing was off, I could have found out all the information I needed in the world, on this knife and on all the other questions I have, IF Poor people where still aloud to use the search feature!!

I've picked up one recently, its big mean knife. Not utility design. )))
Very good f/f, has tiny vertical blade play though.

Just found one for 250 and another for 300(Alpha). On regular knife selling sites, wonder what ebay has to offer?
I handled some of the FBs at a local gun shop, selling for about 25% over MSRP, so I wouldn't buy them, but they are nice, but they or it, atleast the one model, forget the name/number, is a COMPLETE COPY of a Srtider FB, just different colors and Chisle grind. I don't think Steve Ryan Designed that one.

The "COMPLETE COPY" is very likely the fixed version of the Surefire Delta folder. And I didn't think it looked anything like a Strider. Steve Ryan did design the Delta.

they run a little less than $300, or used to anyway, might be higher now.

i would pay $200 anytime but have never seen any for that price.
