Well, MD hasn't been having the heat that the west has seen, but it has gotten pretty hot out here lately. I've taken precautions to protect my phone, which I leave in my truck, but haven't thought about my Surefire G2 until now. I park in the shade, and my light isn't in direct sunlight, but should I move it when I leave it in the truck? It stays in a seat pocket in my truck, out in the open. Haven't checked the temp in the truck, but even in the shade last week, that thing could've cooked a meal. Do I need to worry about those high test batteries? If this is a stupid question, tell me;) .

YMMV, but I have carried a P9 daily in my briefcase, almost since the day they came out with it decades ago, (own several newer G2s also) and even though it's considerably warmer down here I have never experienced any "heat" related issues with any of my Surefire flashlight product batteries.

Nope, we had several weeks in the 40c range no problems. Had my Surefire on the dash.

I kept 24 Surefire and Pentagonlight batteries in my car for almost a year and a half. They experienced 140 degree summer temps and 15 degree winter temps. I recently tested them and the heat/cold didn't have any noticeable affect on capacity based on what my ZTS tester said.
