I know Strider folders are highly regarded in this forum. So let me put this question out there.
Is the new Surefire Delta on the same level as Striders?

From the reviews I have read, the fit and finish are high quality. For $425 you could buy either a Surefire or a Strider. Do you think they are overpriced? If a Surefire is not as good as Striders are they as good as...<insert a brand here>?

Hi Hondo...

They are nicely made knives,, however for that price I wouldn't buy it or a Strider...

I'd look at a custom first...

For $425, I would buy a custom, and neither of those knives. I also happen to think that the SF Delta knife is very ugly.

I have a Delta and I love it. But I wouldn't pay $425 for it. I paid $290 which I think is a steal. The cool thing about the Delta is that it has a bushing and PB washers just like a Sebbie. So no blade play and very smooth action.

I would have to say yes, it on par. Zero blade play, solid as a rock, built like a tank, amazing liner. Comes down to weather or not you find it visually appealing. Now for night ops (non civilian), knife is to shiny :)

though i prefer the alpha nothing really wrong w/a delta, i wouldnt pay MSRP for one though.
