Any thoughts on it? For some reason, I am really attracted to it and wondering what the experts here thought. Thanks.

It's expensive, but it looks like sturdy and well designed. If I was going to spend that much I would either just get a Strider or commission a custom from one of the many fine makers here. I don't like the safety cutter on the back, although it's a good idea and probably very useful to some people.

I haven't been able to find a photo of how well it locks up. Frame locks are generally trustworthy, but you can't be too careful.

The aesthetics and blade shape do not appeal to me. If you like the looks and aren't planning on stabbing anything then you'll probably love it.

I have handled one at a store. From a quick inspection I would say it appears to match the Sebenza by fit and finish, that is to say, the knife is excellent. Although... I doubt it uses a pivot bushing like the Sebenza.

If I liked the design, and had the cash, I'd pick one up. It's a nice knife. But it doesn't appeal to me. Some would say the "features" are just gimmicks. They seem thoughtfully designed enough.

I say go for it. Surefire does nothing half-heartedly.

Cool. Thanks. Honestly, I just really like the aesthetics of it. I could do without all the added stuff. I would LOVE a custom, but have no idea who to talk to, or how to go about it at all.

Nice. Thanks. I was hoping hoping some would have first hand experience with it... considering I have only seen photos online. I too don't care for the added stuff, its the knife itself I am into.

I just got it last month. Below is the Delta photo with Strider RCC.
Delta is awesome... good handle.
Beyond the high price, I don't like its wire clip and have to be careful when closing the knife.

i like the alpha folder but none of the other SF offerings FWIW, its all aesthetic though they are all very well made, they are imho overpriced for what ya get.

some would say lol..................

i really do like the alpha though, i got one at a gunshow in austin TX a couple yrs back, one of the few i have ever seen at kinda a "deal", it was very very lightly used, anyway i let me bro-in-law talk me outta it, i'll get me another if i ever find one decently priced, ya dont see them too often though.

It's a great knife. I used to have one when it first came out. The fit and finish is very comparable to a Sebenza. Think of it as a Sebenza with a flipper. The Delta has a bushing in the inside just like a Sebenza, so you can't over tighten the pivot screw.

Thank you for the great info!
