I want to purchase a surefire E1e or E2e. Anyone have any experience (good or bad)with either of these lights? Battery life? Bulb life? Thanks.

I have an E1e and an E2D (pretty much the same as the E2e). Both great for incan. I've replaced the E1 with the L1 now, but it's a good bit longer than the E1. So far pretty good battery life, probably 2 hours total from both. So far never had to replace a bulb on either one. I would strongly consider the L1, though, if the extra money isn't too much of a problem. Lots of the guys around here use the Fenix lights, also. Very good bang for the buck, there.

I just picked up a T-20 from OLIGHT.

I will never carry my surefires again!

They are just AWESOME, 1/2 the price, twice as bright! ($60)

LED, 200+ lumens.... Just Brutal!

they are good lites but i wouldnt buy an incandescent myself, the surefire L4 though higher $$ is brighter with better batt life while being the same size as the E2e, they also make an LED version of the E1 FWIW.

If you are set on Surefire I would actually advise you to wait a few months because They came out with several improvements to their current line of LEDs. Wait mainly to see if any kinks develop and to see what others experience with them before buying.

Unless you are set on Surefire, I would strongly consider the Fenix P1D and P2D - a heckuva lot more light for the same -or less - money.

I have an E1E and an E2E. E1E drains a single 123A battery pretty quickly using the standard incandescent bulb. I switched out the incandescent to an LED, and the E1E works great and I get more out of the battery. E1E is great for size, but if you are looking for more lumens and power, and grip size, the E2E might be a better choice

The E2E and E1E are obsolete IMO.
The Led heads are the next generation.
The E2L with a Cree head will not break or ever burn out.
The batteries last much longer and the head will barely even get
warm when you leave it on for a long time.
