I just received a Surefire E2. The pocket clip was attached to the bezel with a rivet instead of a screw making impossible to remove. Is this standard? What is the difference between an E2 and an E2E? Your input is appreicated as this was not what I was expecting.

Thanks

I think you can get a better answer over on the candlepower forum I have had most of mine answered over there

I believe the SF phased in the clips for the E2. Differences between the E2 and E2e are:

Hex Bezel
Pyrex Lens
LOTC
A tad longer
Name written on a flat spot on the body instead of the bezel

It seems that the riveted clip is more common than, and replaced, the style with the screw in the clip. The E2E is entirely different in that regard and uses a sturdier clip that slides into a machined slot that is secured by the bezel.
