Surefire G2 tailcap troubles

I need some help. I've only had my G2 for a few weeks and I've got a problem with it. When taking it apart to change the batteries today, the spring in the tailcap popped out, and try as I might, I can't figure out a way to get it back in. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there an easy way to get it back in? Usually I am a pretty good problem solver, but this one has me stumped. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I hate you! I read this title and thought, "Hmm that's interesting." What do you think the first thing I did was? Yep, I popped out the spring on my G2 tailcap. Now we're in this together.

Edit, Edit, Edit: Try twisting in the direction of the threads as you push it in, like tightening a screw. worked for me.
 
Hahaha. I chuckled out loud when I read your post. Hopefully two minds are truly better than one and we can figure this out. I've tried basically everything I can think of right now. Look at it this way, at least now you have some real motivation for helping me. :D
 
Ok I fixed it. I basically did the same thing I'd been doing, which was pushing the spring in, but this time it worked. I kind of edged in one side of the spring and heard a popping sound, and it stuck in. Hopefully it's in for good.
