Does anyone know of either a UK or European supplier of Surefires & accessories, or even a US retailer with "sensible" shipping charges?

Thanks.

The UK Distributer (trade only) is Edgar Brothers in Liverpool(although they may sell you stuff)

So expensive, I give them a call to work out how much I saved by buying from America. Likewise from a UK Dealer such as;

Centrevine (also in Liverpool)

Personally, I've had great service and price from AGR but had to pay vast Customs Charges.

My Dealer is Tim Flanagan who understands the trouble we UK SureFire people have getting a good deal. I'd suggest you email him.

The UK Dealers usually don't have the up-to-date stock and models, or spare parts I need, and they take ages to get stuff.

I'm not saying the UK Dealers are bad people who rip people off, importing is expensive and takes ages.

I'm neither as experienced in importing as Size 15s, nor as committed to shiny things :)

I'm happy with my humble 6P which I imported from discount knives - that was so cheap I smiled at the customs charges (or I may have got that one through un noticed) - it was so cheap compared to UK it was worth paying anyway.

www.heinnie.com sell Surefire - but not cheap.
also www.tool-shop.com sell a fair range of their stuff including v cheap DL123A batteries - and from Germany there is no VAT/Customs to the UK, and they charge no additional shipping costs. [in other words, it's in the price.

Try a look at them too.

[Incidentally, my old 6P with the P61 lamp assembly still chucks out 120 lumens - which is err... bright.]

If I was doing it again, I might go for the G2 [but it doesn't look as cool ;) ]

When you've bought your surefire you should check out 7 day shop for cheap 123A batteries (£1.25 each instead of £5.99 in the shops)

Regarding the purchase go with Size15s' advice

Jay,

Just out of interest, what Surefire are you after ?

And I agree with what has been said so far. Order from the US if possible, It takes a bit longer, but is a lot cheaper.

Phew! What a lot of responses! :) Ok, thanks to everyone for your help, there's plenty of info here to get me started (or finished as the case may be). ;)

Derek - I'm after any/all of them really,I just don't think one will be enough somehow... :)

Personally, having quite a few larger SureFires, I feel the SureFire SF123A batteries give significant advantages, and will pay for them.
(They still work out at half the price of a DL123A Duracell Ultra M3 from the supermarket)

Jay,

I have a 6P, 12Z and an adapter (Zoom Head I think they were called) for the 6P which I don't use. 12Z is unused and 6P and adapter have been used but in V Good condition. If any of these take your interest, drop me an E-Mail and I'm sure we can work something out ! :D
