I'm looking at a LED bulb to put in my surefire 6p to get a longer battery life. On ebay the lowest lumens i can find on the 6p led lenses are 250. Can anybody tell me about how long a 250 lumens led lens will run on 2 123a battery's? Does anybody know of another cheap LED bulbs that i can put in my surefire that will have lower lumens?

In my opinion the best option out there is the one that Surefire is selling, called the Surefire P60L, which you can get from their website. Runtime is 2-3x more at full brightness, it is slightly brighter than the original, and even when the batteries won't light one of the incandescent bulbs the LED will still light up and give plenty of usable light. I think it goes for around $40.

If you go the the candlepower forum, go to the LED flashlights section.

At the top is a sticky thread of P60 drop-ins (replacements for the bulbs for Surefire C2, c3, p6, p9, etc,).

I use a Bugout Gear drop in in my c3 and find it to be a Okay (a little hot running, but then it is brighter - throw is about the same). The module can also be used in 2 cell lights.

Lots of the modules out there, though, so I'd look at the sticky thread and google "surefire dropin review" and such.

OOPS - forgot to mention the dereelight modules (http://www.dereelight.com/module-list.htm), since they offer modules with multiple output levels.
