Hey guys!

I'm not an expert in flashlights, I just use em, and I know some of you guys are really into them. Here is my problem. The lens on my light is really scratched up and It's hindering the output. Now would it be worth it to get a new lens put in? Is it easy and can I do it myself? Another question would be, what other heads can I put on this body? I would really like a brighter flashlight but this one has been through alot and always came though for me. Thanks in advance for your replies and sorry for my newbness.

Do you have a pic of the lense ? I had a L1 lumamax that was so scratched the lense looked like it had a tumpled finish, but it was still good and bright. (I lost it on a recent trip to the grand prix in Macau though.)

As for a new head for it, any surefire head from that range will fit. I have a spare KX2 head and that fits on my LX2 as does the KL4 head. Neither of those are as bright as the 200 lumens you get from the original LX2 head though and don't work with the two stage tail cap.

Your best bet is probably just to get a new LX2 or the E2D LED head, as far as I can see it those are the two best ones that will fit the original body and still give you the high lumens. :)

Edit: I just tried a L1 head and that fits too, it also works with the two stage switch, it's just not as bright.

I don't know how happy I would be switching heads about any way TBH. I much would rather just stick with the original or have it "pimped" by someone in the know.

Thanks guys, maybe I will contact Surefire and see what they can do. I don't have the light on hand, it's at work in my locker and I don't go back until after new years. So I guess with the LX2 being the brightest that will fit, I'll just make do with what i got until i figure somethin out. It's still plenty bright, just not as bright as when i first got it. Maybe it has to do with losing it in the sand a few times for a few days at a time! Or maybe the time it was run over by a dozer? lol I will say that these lights are tough! I appreciate the help!
