Has anybody used a Surefire M6 - I am thinking of getting one and am looking for user feedback.

Thanks in advance.

Ed

At $300+ I will not be getting one anytime soon. If at all.

While I can apprieciate that the M6 can sustain the M4's awesome light output for much longer, and although I really want one, I'm waiting for a rechargeable of equal power - the SureFrie M2000.
If SureFire make the M8, I'd buy that one, but I've only seen passing mention of the M8 on their site...

My advise, wait for the M2000.

BTTT - Lots of reasons not to buy an M6 - or to buy a different Surefire - I come back to my original question - has anybody out there used one of these babies?

Regards,

Ed

While I would recommend the SureFire 12PM as I've found mine to be excellent and amazingly powerful, I'd rather have a SureFire M6 for the extra toughness and extended runtime. My 12PM has only required one new lamp module in 2 years useage. Both lamps have provided flawless beams of incredible brightness. I hardly ever use it long enough to cause thermal shutdown, and have used enough DL123As to warrent getting shares in Duracell.

I'd buy an M6 is I didn't have the 12PM. I will upgrade my 6P to an M2 and get a couple E1's, whilst I save for the rechargeable M2000 which I was told will also be a 500+ Lumens flashlight.

500 Lumens is awesome. With the runtime and looks of the M6 - WOW!!

Alastair,

As a fellow Brit, where do you buy your Surefire's from?

Ed

I used BotachTactical.com, and got a friend in the States to forward them to me as at that time, Botach was not doing international orders.

We Brits have the pleasure of Import Tax, and a further postal charge which was about £70 for my £200 order of various things (including 40 DL123As for $1.56 each)

I'm trying to get my friend to bring back an order from the States so I avoid paying any taxes or charges. I'll also be bringing lots of things back when I go to the Grand Canyon in January...

There is an English Ditributer for SureFires, but his prices were really high (I don't think it was his fault)

Al.
