Ok I have the option of getting a C2 or G2. I want something that is easy to carry and can be used every now and then for minor lighting jobs. Anyone own any of these models? Any suggestions?

There's a significant difference between the G2 and the C2.

If you want a basic light, then the G2 is the one. The C2 has a clip and the combatlight body. If you're not interested in use with a handgun, then the combatlight body is less important. If you just want the clip, then the D2 or the E2 are less expensive choices. Assuming that you don't need the combatlight body, the E2 is really easy to carry either in a pocket or using the clip. That's my preference. If I get an M2, then my favorite carry light may change, but until then, the E2 is chosen over the 6P and the Scorpion.

The G2 is lighter than the C2. Of course, nobody can buy just one SureFire....

Oh damn, ain't that the truth! :D Over the period of a couple years I've amassed a small collection of various SF's....and still wanting more!

I'd go for the G-2! Excellent basic for those who are entering the world of Surefire lights! :D

Hey if what you guys say is true then it can't be good for the custom addiction I got going on....:D

Have you been to the SureFire forums? They've got some wild stuff going on.

WAIT for the G2Z - SureFire Nitrolon Combatlight. It's in the Maybe stages right now, but looks great in the new catalog.

I think i'll take Sparks advice....and from there if or when i'm satisfied I can work my way down all the models....;)

I'm waiting for the E2e Mini Turbo myself. But I have a E2 and 6P to satisfy me for the time being. I do plan to get the G2 for EDC. It looks much lighter. Even an ounce lighter than the E2.
