I want to purchase a Surefire 2-cell for every-day carry. Holstered opposite my .45 -- basically what the Z2 combat-light was designed for.

They all seem "right" though. I'm going to have a custom holster made, and I want the whole rig as small as possible.

I've never seen any of these in "real life". The 6P is HUGE -- and the D2 is supposed to be the same size. The Z2 is derived from the D2 -- so does that mean it's "huge" as well?

I have an E2 and a couple E1's, and I like those -- perfect size. Maybe the E2E is what I'm after? I saw one once -- might have been a C2 -- that I really liked, but I don't remember for sure.

Please recommend one.

Definitely the M2. I have a Z2 which sees indoor duty, but the benefits of the M2's "waterproofness" and scratch resistant Pyrex lens significantly outweighs the slight increase in weight vs. the Z2.

If you were going to carry it in your pocket then the E2e is a no-brainer, but if the light is going in a custom sheath on your belt, you may as well go for the big dog.:D

The M2 is also capable of accepting a high output lamp assembly, a Turbo-Head, body adapters to convert to 3-cell or rechargable batteries, and has parts interchangability with some of the weapons lights.

Pocket - E2/E2e (I actually carry an M2 often in a jacket or pants pocket.)
Belt - M2
