Has anyone else had problems with them?

Number 1, I go to their website and I have to register just to place an order. How lame is that? I wanted to buy a dozen batteries and I had to register.

Number 2, I place my order first, then I discover I have to register. So I register, and my computer gets frozen, and I have to hit control, alt, delete to get out of the web. So my order gets lost.

Number 3, I get back online and go to surefire.com and it won't let me on. It says "action canceled." It indicates a faulty file and my computer doesn't recognize what created it.

Number 4, I have had problems with Surefire.com before, having trouble getting in there and being able to use their menus. Their site always seems sludgy and problematic.

So it looks like they have lost an order, at least for now.

I would think a company as popular as they would be successful. And if you are successful, why can't you have a decent website?

What a joke.

Take a pill, :), just assume the reason their site sucks so bad is because they spend ALL their time thinking about lights.

Batts and accessories can easily be found on ebay, and certainly for competitive prices.

That's like saying knifecenter's website sucks because they spend ALL of their time thinking about knives; or Busse's website sucks because they spend ALL of their time thinking about indestructible knives; or Danner's website sucks because they spend ALL of their time thinking about boots; or because Leatherman's website sucks because they spend ALL of their time thinking about multi-tools.

As far as I know, none of the above websites have problems.

I don't want to go to ebay, I want to buy my batteries at Surefire. Why can't I?

I'm glad you are experiencing the improvements SureFire have made to their website over the past few years. It has taken hardworking individuals massess of dedicated work to get it to the stage you see now. I swear that SureFire would not have an internet site at all if it wasn't for some people who think otherwise.

I don't expect you to give SureFire some slack. I hope you have reported these problems to SureFire so they know to improve things.

As a last resort you could order from one of SureFire's excellent Dealers or even from SureFire direct by phone (800 828 8809).

I never ordered from their website, but I will say that after their 'makeover' in the last year or so - - their look and feel and navigation seems to have taken a turn for the worse. It's a very confusing, cluttered, hard on the eyes site.

I've never had a problem with the Surefire site and their customer service has been awesome. I suggest you follow Size's advice, they've always been very helpful, and I've ordered a fair amount of batteries and accessories from them directly because of availability issues.

I've never had any problems with SureFire's site, but then I've never ordered anything directly from them, either. You can usually find their stuff much cheaper elsewhere. Last time I bought batteries www.texastacticalsupply.com had SureFire's brand at the same price ($1.25 IIRC) but wanted less for shipping. Sorry to hear about your troubles :(
