I have a Rockwell surface grinder, wired for 110. It was running, but now it’s not. Something inside this control box humss when you engage the power switch, and there’s a contactor of some kind moves between the green block and the black box. What should I look at or consider to get this thing back to running?

It could be the motor. Check the black and bluer wires with a meter. If they have 110V, then it is the motor. If not, it is the contactor.

Got a phone consult and figured it out. Contactor had gone bad. Since it was only running off of 110 anyway, it was much simpler just to rewire in a standard switch and call it good.
