Does any company make a small, even hobby size surface grinder?? I have no where to put on of those huge monsters even if I could afford it.

L6,
Grizzly, MSC and Harbor freight all sell the same small chinese surface grinder. They just paint them different colors. Harbor Freight has the best price on it, out of them all, at around $1000.
I've seen them converted to belts in some of the knife magazines.
There are smaller, benchtop grinders that are made in Germany or Switzerland but they are BIG BUCKS!!

Mike,
I think Lynn Griffith got one of the smaller ones from Harbor Freight sometime last year. He might give you a good answer.

Thanks guys!!! I'll email Lynn and see what he thinks of it. Would it be that difficult to build one that uses belts??Take care! Michael
