Surface ground 7 blade

Here are some before and afters.. seems emerson surface grinders his hand made blades so why not do this one ?

I’m trying to figure out what changed? I don’t see any difference. Am I missing something

the difference is how the blade is polished/finished. He removed the stonewashing through surface grinding and probably bead blasted the main bevels to remove the factory machine grinding.
