Surface rust on handle of CF TGLB

I'm starting to get some rust. I had a little on the blade, no big deal, I got rid of it. Now I'm getting some on the handle between the grips. Since it is bead blasted there, is there any way to get rid of the rust without ruining the finish?

Mineral oil to prevent it from getting worse?

I have had very good results with flitz. Does not seem to hurt the finish and the rust wipes right off. I have been coating with flitz wax afterwards lately. I have also had very good results heating up blades with a hair dryer,putting on a coat of Militec-1,letting it set until cool then wiping all the excess off.
