I just wanted to thank the people here in this forum who have helped me throughout my short time as a Busse collector. I am fortunate enough to enjoy the thrills of bipolar disorder (with medication), and as a result, I have been through some things that given their nature, many people will never have to endure (there are also those out there who have been through much worse than I have). So I persevere, unable to work a regular job, and fill my days as fulltime caregiver for my elderly mother and mentally handicapped brother.
Since I have started collecting Busse knives, and joined this forum, I cannot tell you how much light this experience has shed into my life. This hobby and this group of people, who have accepted me for who I am and treated me as a respected equal, have made a huge difference in the quality of my days and thus, my life. I actually look forward to my days now, whereas before this, not so much.
I won't even pretend to give to this community what I get out of it, but the least I can do is GO PLATINUM to help out around here.
Thanks everyone.

PLATINUM! Very cool. Now you need to find something witty to write under your username...

It's good having you around here... funny how people from all places... all walks of life can gather here for the love of all things sharp and have a great time doing it. :)

Congratulations on your bling-bling, Pygmalion! Yes, we are a great bunch...and diverse doesn't even begin to cover it!!

Right on, right on! My username is not by chance, and this forum is part of my therapy. Glad you're here and Congrats on the new Bling!

Welcome, Pyggy (that should be your hog name!). I agree with ya 100%. Best forum I'm a member of, with m1911 right behind.

Pygmalion, Congrats on Platinum! Looks like you Have a couple of Buddies to help you cope (Avitar) with everything!

Pygmalion, I can relate to what you are saying about the Busse family. During the first two or three years after Kim's hit and run, when I lived at the hospital, then nursing home, and then was a 24-hr/day caregiver, I had to give up my outdoor, hunting and fishing pursuits, and Busse knives and the forum became tremendous outlets for me. Fortunately, my wonderful wife understood this and encouraged me in it.
