Surge v. Wave

On the "things that only happen to me" I was making a "simple" repair on my car. (Ok, i was changing the air filter, which turns out to be far more complicated than it used to be. Those of us of a certain age will recall simpler times when changing the filter meant taking the wingnut off, removing the lid, and popping in the new filter.) Anyway, as I was trying to remove a screw, I dropped my Wave. For most people, the MT would have fallen straight through to the ground, or, at worst, would have fallen into a spot where one might need the hands of a small child to retrieve it, but it would be visible. Not me. Mine vanished. Presumably it's somewhere in there (maybe trapped in the bit that protects the bottom of the engine waiting to show itself by causing catastrophic damage. Anyway, I'm going to prop the car up and get under there and hopefully find it. HOWEVER:
Assuming that my Wave is gone, I'm going to replace it with either another Wave (which seems to have skyrocketed in price – I paid $50 for mine (approx) and they are now priced at $90.) or a Surge which costs $10 more. Is the Surge worth the extra money? It seems to have a few more tools than my old Wave, but I've heard that the new Wave has additional features over the model that I have. Thoughts?

Thanks.

I personally would stay with the Wave. I gotta keep my saw and find scissors next to useless. I know...blasphemy...folks love them scissors I just find no use for them.

Thanks, Collim1.

I find the scissors "passable" small tasks. Like paper, clothing threads, etc. I've proven that they can't cut Paracord. I really am hoping I can salvage that Wave, b/c I do not feel like spending more money on a replacement. Unfortunatly, I have to assume that it has dropped out of my vehicle by now....

I have both And prefer the Wave. I find the Surge to be a little too heavy.

The only MT that gives my wave any competition is my Vic Swisstool.

I have both as well and the Wave is the one I have with me most of the time. The Surge is just too big for me to carry.
