Good luck. You'll be OK though. Be prepared for the anesthesia to mess with your mind some for several weeks after your surgery. I had some minor surgery recently and it was a month or more before I began to feel more clear headed again. Still, there are some little gaps in my memory at times. I'm convinced that the older the patient the harder the anesthesia is on his mind. Often there is no choice, though, so we do the best we can.

Smoke and prayers sent, I have had 2 hernia ops. the veterans hospital did the best job, what I noticed is after 5 operations , the anesthesia seems less a problem to wake from, just breath deep as soon as you are coherant, it helps alot. you will have no problems. Happy holidays.
