I wasn't quite expecting this knife from Little Hen Knives just yet, but there it was sitting in my mailbox yesterday! One of the Survivor hard use knives with a double sheath - one for the 1 piece, forged O-1, canvas micarta handled knife & a detachable sheath holding the diamond sharpener & magnesium fire starter.:D OAL: just about 9 1/2"; Blade: 4 3/4" differentially heat treated.

This knife is an integral with the black canvas micarta handle slabs held on with 3 - 1/4" hollow stainless tubes & the butt is hardened, tempered & grooved for hammering if needed! One tough knife!

Not sure if this is the one, but I got to handle one of these knives very recently. It was beautifully balanced and looked like it was going to be a winner. It wasn't finished yet, so I can't comment on the fit and finish.

The fit & finish are great on this knife and feels real good in the hand! I already told Ron, if I'm lost in the woods, this is the knife I want with me!:D My first integral and it is solid! Love his double sheath - very well constructed! I think it's a winner!:)

Gary, right on! I`m glad It surprised you...I like surprizes also. You`ll have another surprize n a few days I imagine. Glad you like the package, lots of though went into how I was gonna put it all together.
Yeah Keith, I can`t totally remember if I brought it there, but if I had an integral with black micarta on it there, then thats the one.

Gary,

Be sure to bring that one on the 17th. I'd really like to check it out in person. See you then.

Ken

That sure is one solid-looking son-of-a-gun. And a nice-looking sheath to go along with it too. Congrats!

Roger

This is one solid knife. Looking down the top of the knife, the butt is 1/2" wide dropping down to 3/16" in the handle area, back up to 1/2" thick at the bolster and then distally tapered out to the tip which is close to 1/16" thick before tapering to a point.
Ken - By the time the meeting comes around, I should have 5 different LHKnives creations for you to look at! No carving your initials in the table top, though! :D
