... not actually, but what if? Would you buy a Stretch with Emerson Wave?
My mock up:

I like the Stretch. Not the wave. Waves deploy inconsistently, can tear up the pocket and just look goofy.
I love it. With a little practice it deploys 100% consistently every time. But if your knife is in and out of your pocket many times a day it can be hard on your pocket.

I like the idea. Looks like it would make an extremely useful blade even more useful.

The wave feature would be best on either a self defense knife or a very all around type knife like the Delica or endura.

The stretch is sort of in that “purpose built” category, as it was made with hunting/skinning in mind... and I wouldn’t want that wave feature on a knife I use for skinning game.

I think the Stretch would be as effective of a self defense blade as an Endura or Delica. The Stretch looks like a good blade for escrima.
I don't see any features that would make the Stretch only a hunting/skinning knife regardless of design intent.
To each their own, that's what keeps life interesting.

I knew it was fake since he did the same thing on the company forum...to answer the question, yes but only if they kept it FFG and not the flat saber like other wave models. With the Endura and Delica, the saber grind took a great slicer and basically made it useless.

A waved FFG Stretch would be an awesome piece. LOVE Spyderco's full flat grind!

You're right. One time I tried using the Stretch to open a box and it exploded

Waves are worthless to me.
My most used Stretch developed lock rock that Spyderco couldn t fix on my paid return for repair. They sent back a message saying enjoy using your knife (presumably as is).

The box exploded or the knife exploded?

sal

Neither, just being sarcastic to that guy's comment ;)
I think the Stretch is a fantastic multipurpose blade... it's probably my favorite folder.

I hope you guys will consider making a waved version at some point!
