Went to a local knife shop today to see if he had a Socom Delta. He didn't but I should have one from him in a week or so :D. So I was browsing around looking for something to carry since my Deimos is headed back to Fox and my Socom Elite is in pieces while I try to perfect working with rayskin. I have whittled down my edc group drastically lately and that leaves me with just the Select Fire until my others are back in rotation and I start buying more.

Anyways, I was looking at inexpensive folders and ran across the Meyerco ShockWave. It was designed by Kirby Lambert and produced in China. No fancy blade steel, just 8Cr13MoV, but it is one nice looking knife. Carbon fiber bolsters with G10 scales. Blade has a good recurve to it. It's got a solid lock up, 0 play and a nice locking liner. Fit and finish isn't perfect, but I'd call it excellent for a $50 class knife. Feels good in the hand and is set up for RH tip up carry. It's about my size too, 3.5" blade. Overall, for the money I paid I am impressed. This is a great knife for the money and I highly recommend it to those looking for a low priced, nice looking and solid knife.

And now the pics:

I've seen this knife floating around for a couple of years now and I've always found it to be a very good looking piece.

Not really my kinda thing, but, still... Not bad! It looks about four times more expensive than it really is.

Too bad about that recurve. And if the carbon fibre was a nicer pattern I think that knife would really be something.
great pocket clip though

Oh I love me a recurve! I didn't think the cf was too bad. I've been looking at Meyerco's lineup and they have a few nice designs. There's a Lightfoot collab, Darrell Ralph, etc. They even have a Gunhammeresque model. That would be great for someonewho maybe can't afford the real deal.

I have always wondered how the quality of Meyerco's knives were. They have a really cool line up and I think I'm going to buy a few, they look great for the price.

Yes sir, this is honestly my current favorite sub $75 folder. The more I mess with it, the more I like it. I mjght change a couple things but they are just preference. If you want something to throw in the pocket without having to worry about messing up a $300 knife, you can't go wrong. If they would make a moderately priced version of this knife with a premium steel and build it in the US they would have an absolute winner.

I love my Shockwave. It's a great knife for the money. A little heavy with the solid liners but still a great knife.

I too have wondered about Meyerco's offerings it's nice to see that they offer a quality product. I've seen where they have some USA made knives as well.
