This is a nifty little blade. I bought it primarily because of its price and nothing more. I wanted to try out an A/O type action, and the price was easy on the wallet. Anyway, this little bugger came quite sharp. I put it through several menial tasks, cutting meat, cardboard, tape, paper, etc. It sliced through everything quite well. The flipper seems to be roughly hewn, and can jab you when clipped to a pocket. Lockup is positive, does not visually appear to be heavy duty, but it is a small knife and should handle cutting and whittling tasks just fine. I would say the craftsmanship on a Kershaw Chive exceeds the Camillus, but the Camillus probably has the same functionality. Only thing I wish now was if it didn't have the serrations, but if I wanted the price I had to deal with them. This is just one of those tools that is good enough, gets the job done, and makes you question why you get hung up on premium knives with premium steel. Perfect is the enemy of good enough!
