Recently I had this short show up in my YouTube feed and I really liked the song and sound of this ’new’ singer. Only to find out that it was an AI generated video, but still very well done. There is also a full version of the song as well. There are only three songs available by this source which I downloaded, all three sound great, but you can hear similarities so that had me dig deeper about the singer to discover it was AI.

It’s a little scary how well it is and makes you wonder what else is coming next.

This video shows how people are letting themselves get scammed into buying music services from AI thinking they are buying from actual performers, and then often don't even care that it was actually fraud when they find out.

Video two is very extensive, and the jist of it is (from the AI summary on YouTube):
In this video, Adam Neely argues that commercial generative AI music tools like Suno are detrimental to the music industry due to a techno-capitalist agenda aimed at wealth extraction and deskilling musicians (4:16-5:39). While acknowledging potential benefits like music therapy (48:01), he contends that AI commodifies music, replacing the need for human craft and patience (11:53) with interactive, gamified consumption (1:09). Neely predicts that live performance will become the prestige art form refuge for artists seeking to showcase genuine human talent against a flood of AI-generated "slop" (1:26:44).

Thank you for participating 😇

Edited to add that after my post you edited your post with interesting and valid information.
My post was more about how I was moved by that particular song and as I did mention that it is scary.
