Suru is Japanese and basically translates as "to do". It has the ability to change a word into an action. Suru seems to mostly be placed at the end of a sentence... so it is also "the final word". Although, I am flatulent in several languages, I am no cunning linguist but that's the name and I'm stickin' to it.

This one is coming to BladeShow with me.

The Suru Bowie
Forged 1084FG
7/32" at ricasso, distal taper
13" overall length
8" Blade length
1 3/4" at widest
5" handle length - Through tang, maple core, hemp wrapped(epoxy soaked), copper fittings, mild steel guard and butt cap
Sheath is leather, hand sewn, tooled, dyed and wax dipped.

Thanks for looking, Rick

Nice work Rick. I like the rounded coin edged fittings. Always enjoy your use of texture and color.
I need to brush up on my Japanese....... I`ve never bean that flatulent:D
Darcy:)

that's my kind of knife! Nice work man.

Punz is funz.

Thanks, Darcy. I used to work in tool & mold and went from tolerances in tenths of a thousandth of a inch to hittin' $#!t with a hammer. I find the most difficult part of an "organic/textured" look is knowing when to "stop". Most times, I take things to a high fit and finish, then distress them to get the rustic appearance. Sometimes, I stop short and leave them rough. The latter, is the hardest aspect to get past. The perfectionist in me fights like hell to get his way. I found that he is easily distracted with a nice dark ale.

Always a pleasure to see your works my friend.....very well done.

Rick, I hope your moldy tool condition clears up, and it's a good thing the 'Squatches don't care about high-falutin conversatin' and heartily appreciate your flatulence. :D

See you in a few days. :) Aboot six. ;)

Good knife, by the by. You certainly give rustic a hefty dose of class.

Good looking knife.
I speak several languages fluently,
Sarcasm, humor and profanity come naturally.
Your knife has a unique name, I looked it up, and it was just a bunch of squiggly lines, so that's the end of it for me.
Nice work.
