Surv Tac 7 Worth The Price?

Hi, I want to get another good survival knife. At the moment I am interested in getting the Joe Teti Surv Tac 7 knife, but from lack of reviews and high price I am rather wary of it. If anyone has any good or bad feedback or who can other wise tell if this is a good knife I will be grateful of all help.

Personally, I'd never use a tanto blade style for any survival/outdoor skills. Head over to the Great Outdoors subforum and you can find some makers who make awesome users for a lower price.

First of all, what do you need to 'survive' i.e. what purpose do you need it for?

If you need a good hard use knife for general outdoor work buy an ESEE.

If you want to fondle a knife whilst watching 'Preppers' or Bear Grylls on TV by all means get the 'survival knife.'

Actually that is exactly what I had in mind, I do love watching bear grills but I prefer watching "dual survival" that is where I saw Joe using his custom made Tac 7 knife. Im probably going to go ahead and buy the tac 7 but I will for sure spend the extra $70 to get the limited edition model which has a spartan helmet with a sword going through it etched into the handle.
