Survival Curiosity...

Weird, but in the last month, I've seen survival quizzes and articles in at least five different magazines. Two were, as you might expect, hunting magazines, but even Reader's Digest had a piece on survival skills. Are more and more people venturing out to their deaths these days?

magazine , TV , radio etc all publish what sells at the time.
With the war on terror beat into peoples mind everyone
is more aware that you gotta be able to cover you own
butt now more than ever.

To those folk's in the media that translates roughly into
"survivial" issues. So that's what sells. never mind that
you will have tough time getting a decent gun or carry
a decent knife to "survive" with.

well it is almost august and the hunting mags usually have a few articles on survival and hypothermia and getting in shape for your hunt. that is what you can always expect this time of the year.

It actually turned out to be a pretty good story but then the related story is titled: Arming for Armegeddon.
