Survival Cutting Equipment

THe trio tool idea is a commonly used methodology.. Most folks refer to it now as the "nessmuk trio" which utilizes an axe, belt knife, and a folder/multi tool... I think the saw is an underrrated and often under used [iece of equipment.. It is significantly less dangerous than an axe or knife. more energy efficient in regards to sectioning. Personally I'd prefer a more portable version.. ( a folding saw or pocket chain saw perhaps.) But over all that's a good set up
I typicall use a folding saw a heavy me/large fixed blade, and a stout Locking multifunction folder... I think your setup is well suited towards your northern environment.

Nice trio. I like the saw. Go with what works not what looks cool. Also I think the ESEE 4 is just about the best size.

How do the Ox-head axes compare to the Wetterlings and GB? The price is in the middle.

What is the best value?

Thanks,

Geoff
