I just came across some interesting, if rather slowmoving, films by a Swedish guy interested in survival skills. These are far from action packed, but I thought you folks might find them worthwhile nonetheless. The films can be accessed from his website, www.bushcraft.se

Also, can anyone spot the basic mistake he makes in episode 4?

For those that are interested, I just found the knife that he was using in one of the episodes - a granskniven made by gransslojd.

I've watched Michel Blomgren's survival videos, before. I think they're generally pretty good.

I liked best the Quest Fot the Stone. The way he boiled water with the plastic shopping bag was good, and the way he started the fire with a scrounged piece of quartz and his Mora, when he lost his firesteel, was even better.

If all you find is one error in his work, he's pretty good I'd say.:D

Thanks for the link, I'll enjoy watching them.

Yup, Blomgren, Good guy, I've watched his series.

Very good stuff. The first one, that covers the Basics of Survival is so easy to understand, and makes so much general sense, it should be shown to youngsters, scouts, etc.

The whole series was on YouTube/Google vids, and were in English, but recently I only see the ones with English subtitles.

While searching, if you search on "Bushcraft" you will find a couple of short ones from Ray Mears, always good.
