Survival kit in a can?

I've seen a couple different kinds of these (all of them have the same stuff in em just differnt names on em) and was wondering if they are worth the $12. Mostly just want something to keep in a bag and in the glovebox to augment my knifes, multi tools, paracord , and other emergency supplies.

I second longbow50. Check out Doug Ritter's new survival pack at "Equipped to Survive". Probably the best mini kit available today. Well thought out, quality components, and compact size. Read the article at his site for further information. www.aeromedix.com is offering a clamshell case to hold the kit for no extra charge.

I have numerous kits, cans, and packs everywhere I live.

If you have to have a pre-packaged can, I like the SAS survival Tin. It's pretty good.
