survival knife types which do you prefer?

you are going on a backpacking trip.....
which style is in your BOB?

on my post about 1 week in the woods there were alot who said they would only bring their SAK, I wonder what the majority has to say????


there wasn't room I would have wanted to know if some would take a tanto type blade.

Well, it looks like the general purpose medium clip point is in the lead (which is what I voted for as well).

But if I were allowed TWO knives, I would go for one big and one small one and skip the compromise middle ground knife. That might be good fodder for another poll for comparison...

one of the things I wanted to see from this poll was.

how many would chose a bowie, I used to love bowies but just recently can't stand them. I am not too sure why?
I think I am more of a chopper.

that is the one fun thing about knives and the bad thing. you get to explore all types but then you get stuck with them.

I am really into camp knives at the moment funny always switching.

do others swtich around alot?
