I want a BUSSE but all there making right now is the TEAM GEMINI LIGHT BRIGADE so I'm thinking of getting the swamp rat rodent 9.Does anyone know where i could get a busse 9' survival knife at $200-350 and please explain why or should i just keep my eye on the rodent 9

im in no hurry

just for chopping,cutting,carving,and etc.

Busse & Swamp Rat are certainly top of the line. If i were you, i would check into a BK&T BK9. There are ALWAYS people on here who will buy it from you if you don't like it. I have pounded the livin snot out of mine with no issues, & mine is modified with a large choil.

If you are dead set on a Busse look for a Basic 10 model. Beyond Busse the Rodent 9 is amazing but there are others out there at lower price points that will do the same thing. The Becker BK9 has already been suggested also look at the ESEE Junglas or if you really want to chop find a 1/8-3/16 inch thick 14 inch machete and out chop anything mentioned so far and most likely any knife you could get.

well i checked it out and i think i might get the bk-9 they seem to be really tough!!!!!!!!!!

They are tanks. I personally would take a Junglas due to its sheath and micarta scales but either would serve you very well for the rest of your life and cost you about a 1/4-1/3 of a compariable Busse blade.

well im going to get the rodent 9 then i think the bk9/esee junglas

i just love the rodent 9 handle style and heard they are better than 1095

thanks i just wanted something with high chop performce

Do you want that, or like you said earlier in this thread something "just for chopping, cutting, carving, and etc"?

A BK=9 is a great chopper, but not as good a carver. Actually, you cant really get both in one knife. Choppers chop, slicers slice.

If you also let us know what you expect to be doing while "surviving", maybe we can help you better.
