Survival of the Dead

Ok, checked out the trailers...Zombieland and Carriers look cool, not so sure about Survival of the Dead, which is a bummer...

I blame these films for me buying a Swamp Rat Waki, hell if they release any more I might find myself buying another so I can dual wield!

Looks like some quality time will be spent at the movies on my own, SWMBO isn't really into this genre.

I've got all the 'dead' films at home except the 1990 Night of the Living Dead remake. I'll have to track that one down. The Dawn of the Dead Remake was pretty bloody awesome - fast zombies are scary. Liked 28 days later (original) also! Even 'Return of the Living Dead' was a hoot and a half!

I own a crapload of Zombie films, all Romeros work as well as many others(including the 1990s remake of the '68 classic), and massive amount of books, comics etc...

Cant wait for these new flicks...

Ah...zombie movies. Love em. I need to pick up a zombie book or watch a zombie movie now that I got my Rodent Waki...

Carriers does look interesting, and Zombieland looks entertaining

Anyone see District 9 yet? Good alien movie.

Oh yeah - I picked up a 2008 'direct to Disc' version of a Georgie A flick called: 'Diary of the Dead'. I thought it was superior to Land of the Dead (less hollywood'ish and back to his dawn/day of dead basics). Check it out - its a goody!!!!!!

carriers looks really good, I hope it pulls through and is a good flick, diary of the dead was pretty good. What I want to know is why has nobody put a minigun in a zombi flick? I mean come on! when it comes to zombie killin I'm going for the mini!

I agree about Diary of the Dead. It was better than I expected and far less silly than some bigger budget offerings have been.

Carriers looks promising; sort of like 28 Days Later meets The Road.

As far a Zombie books - World War Z is a good read and a very good audiobook. I read The Rising and City of the Dead earlier this year and they were ok but not great and pretty dark and ugly, even by zombie genre standards. Kudos to Keene for pushing things in some ways, but I doubt that I will read them again.

I own all of Romero's films.Great bloody fun.
The film I'm waiting for is the World War Z movie. It's in the works but it's been delayed due to writing disputes.(shakes fist at writers).
