Survival Sheaths?

I know where to get the good leather and kydex sheaths. ;)

But as far as getting a decent cordura sheath, like those from Spec-Ops and Black Hawk, who has one that will fit knives with blades 9" or larger. I usually see up to 5" on the small and up to 8" on the large. That doesn't help with things like the basic 9 or Dog Father or BM-E. Any ideas? Thanks.
 
If you need one for a CGFBM I think thebutcher has some he was trying to sell.
 
I could never find one to my liking... So I bought an Okuden A7-T and fitted it with the Cordura pockets, etc..

I can't take all the credit... The idea came from River-8.

One design goal of this sheath was a higher capacity pouch than what is normally found on a sheath.
Also, when kneeling the 'front' opening is on 'top,' allowing easy access.

Here's one we (360 Joules & I) made for my FSH(H):

We've also made 'em for a Rat Mastif, Battle Rat, and other larger blades...

A FBM or a Basic 9 will fit into a RTAK sheath. I forget where I got mine, but you CAN buy them without the knife. I think it was $30 or so. MOLLE compatible (I wanted to strap my B-9 to a backpack.) and pouched, IIRC.

I had to remold the plastic insert with some hot water for the B-9 only b/c it is a far thinner (spine-to-edge) knife than the RTAK. I didn't have my FBM at teh time but I have to believe it would fit w/o modification. FFBM's may have trouble.
 
Dennis: How similar is the Dog Father sheath, at the Yard Co. Store, to the RTAK one? I think they are around $19 so I might order one of those. I would like to get a leather, kydex, and cordura sheath for each blade I have for a little variety. :)

Can you provide more details on the pouches and how you fitted them? Thanks!
 
semper paratus tactical.

its what keeps my FBM with me. i can't say anything bad about the sheath at all.
