Survival Show Casting Call!!!

I just ran across this on The Mountaineers website and thought you guys would be interested. A production company is seeking to cast a "survival" TV program called The Alaska Experiment! C'mon all you Bear and Les wannabes! Here is your chance to show your stuff!

Here is the text of the announcement:
Ricochet Television, the producers of major network television programming (Supernanny/Fat March) are searching America for daring men and women to take part in a brand new adventure docu-series for an undisclosed high profile cable network. The television series will be shot on location in Alaska and is about survival in the great outdoors.

Producers of the new show are casting pairs and trios for this unique opportunity to swap their current life for an environmental experiment. Once selected, the cast will be assisted by a wilderness survival expert who will teach them basic skills in building shelter, preparing for the cold, gathering food, and hunting. America will watch as each team triumphs over the land to achieve personal and team goals.

Do you have what it takes to survive in the unpredictable world of wild Alaska?

For you Pacific Northwest residents, the casting people will be at the Seattle REI on August 4 from 11AM to 5PM. Otherwise, go to the link, fill out the application and send in your video for them to consider you. Time is of the essence.

Seriously, I think it would be cool if wre got "one of our own" on this show.

It also says you have to have partner with you. I wonder what stuff they let you bring or give to you.

Come on man, obviously you don't read my posts, I am an internet commando that never leaves the safety of my mom's house, Jeez. No way I could cut it in the real world.:p Chris
 
hey those guys have the office about 5 miles away from me.....If not my work i would have gone for it. Who cares if i would have made a fool of my self. It still would have been lots of fun...

I googled this show and it seems they have been going across the country with these casting calls. Although they want everybody to submit their own application and video, they want you to have your teammates going in.

Where was this show twenty years ago when I was young, fit, single, and had a crew of similar guys I could count on? :o

I have filled in the application but there are three things that stops me from going for it full throttle.
I have not made a video yet.
I can not stay away from work that long.
My friend decided to be a former friend last week.

It might have been fun to have a swedish guy in the show.
Walking around with a wiking helmet, using some swedish profanities like Peter Stormare, bringing along Swedish things and so on. But I guess I wont get paid to participate so I dont bother.
