While packing my grandparents bug out bag it occurred to me that while most survival foods are high in calories they don't have many other nutrients. I was wondering if anyone packed something like multivitamins in their survival kits, and if so what?

I would hope one would be in good enough
physical shape to survive without "vitamins" for some time.
BOB will get you from here to there in the SHTF time,
I think calories,in any form,would be sufficient.
Your BOB should contain the equipment needed to
help you gather, scavenge food supplements until you get to your
new "home base".

Sure,if you can stack some chok-o-vitamins bars in your bag
rather than the standard "powerbar",,,cool....
I just dont think its needed... not even for a month, long
as your getting your calories/protein.

Peanutbutter.... the miracle food :D
(along with dried prunes)

Sorry,
I missed the "grandparents" bob....

In that case,the "multivitamins"
I think should fall into the category of "medicines"
and thusly be kept in good supply (rotated as needed)

I'm 63, and unless the house is on fire, I'm taking a couple of minutes to stop at the gun safe, and then scoop my prescription meds and additional supplements....and stuff them in a dedicated small cordura "meds duffel" bag
