Survival Test? Are you really prepared?

Ouch, only 80% :( "Judging from which ones you got wrong you better hope you don't get stranded in the tropics, I don't think you'd make it."

I got a 70%, but then when reading the answers, saw it was geared more to a SERE situation, not a civy survival one.

Would ahve answered differently in that case.

Oh well, still good stuff.

(they do need ot take the Steve Irwin reference out... )

Yea, but Irwin's legend will live on forever... God rest that man's soul.

Cool site though. I got an 85%. I thought I would ace some cheesy Internet Survival Test... I was wrong!

I found this online, chances are, many of you have seen this... But I took the test and did worse than I thought I would... Check it out and let me know how ya do.

Well, that's a fun test! Got 85% - here's the ones I got wrong:

Question: What should you do to lower stress and keep a clear head in a survival situation?
Your Answer: Realize where you are and don't build up hope that you'll be rescued.
Correct Answer: Learn to see the positive in everything. Concentrate on the good.

Question: How much water must the body lose before death?
Your Answer: Atleast 10%
Correct Answer: Atleast 15%

Question: When signaling with fire how do you form the international distress signal?
Your Answer: 3 fires in a line.
Correct Answer: 3 fires in a triangle.

Question: Of the following sharks, which one is not among the top 4 for most attacks on humans?
Your Answer: Hammerhead.
Correct Answer: Mako.

Well, I guess I'm a pessimistic survivor who drinks water too frequently to maintain proper hydration. Furthermore, I'm likely to confuse my would-be rescuers with my poor fire-signaling attempts and I may casually approach the wrong shark when swimming....

What the !@#$%^ i almost live in the woods, for real and got a 60 % ... good thing i never knew i should stay in the city !!!

A lot of those questions are environmental specific, or situational specific, and several offered no "all of the above", or other options like "A & B", etc. I scored high, according to their standards, but have aced the real world tests most of the time. LMAO, don't put any more stock in this test than you would one in the "How's your love life" tests in women's magazines!:D

Codger

I should add a scale to my kit so I can weigh myself and know if I have lost 15% of my weight in water... that way I will know when I am dead.

Also, I never knew that all mushrooms could kill me!

It is also good to know that Makos are safe. Maybe I can hitch a ride to safty on one of their backs next time I am stranded at sea.

Also, a waterproof kit is perfect for the desert!
