Survival Tools as Jewelry

The other day my dad gave me my Grandfather's good pocket watch that had a pocket chain to which was attached a mini compass. I am thinking of making a necklace of the little compass and it made me wonder - what other items could be made into "jewelry" (necklaces, bracelets rings, etc.) that could be useful in a survival situation? Any ideas?

Thanx Eric!
Yep, Im just starting but Im having a ball forging!

I have another image of the "Fire Genie"

Its attached to a leather fob/pocket the leather cord keeps the pocket closed.
I thought it would be an easy way to carry a fire making kit. You could tie it on a bag, zipper or wear it around your neck. Theres a small horizontal loop at the top for the metal match striker rod. Theres a small pocket for carrying tinder or fish hooks, line or anything you want.

You could have fire anywhere plus be able to use the arrowhead for other things like a make shift edge by putting it into a stick.

I hope this isn't a duplicate reply.

Thanx Eric!!!

Im just starting to learn how to forge and IM having a ball!!

I have another image of the "Fire Genie" its an arrowhead (with an attitude!) attached to a leather fob/pocket. Theres a small horizontal loop at the top to hold a metal match striker rod. There is a small pocket that you could use for tinder, hooks, line, etc.. its held closed by the leather cord with beads.

I thought it would be a neat way to carry fire making tools with you. Be able to make a fire anywhere. I was going to attach it to a bag or zipper but you can wear it too. Its pretty small. In an emergency you could also attach the arrowhead to a stick for a make shift edge.

Looks really good. Are you selling these, and if so how much? Do you have a website with other items?
Kevin

Yep! I have been taking orders and selling.

I forge them out of 1084 then carve the face, I attach them to the leather fob/pocket that I hand sew. They are heat treated, Blued, and beveled but not honed. I also include the metal match striker rod. I sell them for $55 plus $1.50 for shipping. They really throw a good shower of sparks. Send me an email if your interested. Focused2forge@aol.com
