We have been asked to do a tracking and survival course (Woodland Ops) in Spain. Nothing is nailed down yet but we're trying to work out a proposal and schedule for maybe March 2010. Anyway, I know we have some members here from that area so it may be something you want to attend if we do this. Will keep everyone posted here and on the web site.

Excellent news RAT! Thats something im very interested in! Spain is only a couple of flying hours away from denmark and ticket costs are pretty reasonable.

Im eagerly watching this space!

Bear, Jimmy and I are trying to work out a schedule. Will keep you posted.

Spain!? Good lord that's cool. How to survive delicious cheap wine and delicious food?

You guys are living awesome. I gotta make some changes and get South... :)

Tough accent for me in Espana

Sure would like to go back to Spain after being in Vigo and Barcelona. I get back from this other thing about March 13th and after that I am free as a bird.

Spain is a place where my camera got me in some trouble. I almost had to fight to get out of a market place in Vigo, Spain. I guess there were some "Hot" watches and the guys selling them didn't like me taking pictures of them, boo boo bee boo! One guy rushed me and pushed my camera out of the way and into my face, this resulted in one of those long stare downs.

Here was the shot

Survival training in Europe sounds good: all you have to do is walk a few minutes and you'll find some traces of civilization that will get you going in the right direction; walk for a couple of hours and you are bound to find some sort of village. :) Well, this is not entirely true, there are some less populated areas that may be more difficult to deal with, like perhaps the Pyrenees in northern Spain. Nonetheless, it sounds like a great plan and I might attend, I have family nearby. Please keep us posted.

Youre pretty much right there, at most points in Europe youre pretty close to the real world, Some of the few remaining true wilderness areas are located in in Norway, northern Sweden and in some eastern-euro countries.

The pyrenees arent that remote as some people might think, villages dot the area, but the mountains sheer inaccesibility makes the range pretty isolated from modern amenities and people..

If the price is right, I might actually consider taking this course. Where in Spain are you thinking of having it? North, South..?

hey jeff have you ever considered doing a course in the swamplands of ga and florida?
