Let's try to get some perspective on recent discussions and put a positive spin on the subforum again! Survive! have given me some of the best customer services from a knife company I've ever experienced. Thank you! (ps. I hope I'm not "outing" you, Ellie, in any way so people bug you even more... :) )

Thank you for making a killer product, for an awesome price, "doing your thing", for the ultimate good of your customers instead of profits.

Thank you for shipping international at a fair price (and at a loss, I know!) I've not seen anyone else do that.

Thank you for shipping my 5.1 priority, I appreciate the gesture after the wait!

Thank you for beeing clever and combining some orders, with upgraded shipping! The 4 week wait to Europe otherwise is a pain, but well worth it.

Thank you for listening to my instagram comment and surprising me with a R&D 4.1 and a handwritten note. :D

Thank you for taking my feedback seriously, even though I'm a knife-nobody, and reporting back how it changed the final product.

(And thank you for sending me that R&D S!K hat I promised not to tell Standard about... ;) )

Thank you for refunding part of my Necker 2, when you lowered prices days after I had placed my order. As a surprise, after instagram comments again. Seriously!? :)

Thank you for that thing with my old 3.5. Seriously, thank you! I love you "guys"!

Thank you for checking the orders manually, and thinking about whether my accessories where for the new or old models.

Thank you for letting me change my mind about the handles, even though I'd promised not to do that. Sorry!!

Thank you for pushing the envelope, tweaking heat treats and handle finishes.

And thank you for still talking to us here on BF, Instagram and FB!

Thank you! Kick back and have a cold one on me.

Yes , I love positive comments , think positive stay positive , Survive thank you for making awesome tough knives at a reasonable price point 👍

I agree nils. Guy and Ellie have changed an order for me. They shipped an unexpected gift with some other gear I ordered. (Twice now)
When I broke my 3.5 clip they had another in the mail before the week was up. (Oh yea I'll be emailing soon for a necker clip if there is any available. I'm rough on my gear.) I have never received bad customer service. There are other things S! Has done for me and momma_toothpick. I'm so grateful for finding such a wonderful company. Thank y'all from our home to yours. Do what y'all do if people don't like it then that sucks for them.

Great idea Nils!

Thank you Survive! Team for being friendly and kind to so many people.

Thank you for offering a product that I would bet my life on if I were in a pinch.

Thank you for the personal email that you sent after Gracie passed away. You and the great guys on this Survive forum really helped me get through a dark time in my life.

I am a new comer but please definitely add me to the Survive! appreciation and gratitude crowd gathering momentum on this thread. Although I make suggestion here and there, I don't know how knife workshops run their businesses. Ultimately, I don't take myself too serious and neither should you ;)

Id hang out with guy & Ellie and drink coffee or craft beer, they seem like a decent sort.

Survive makes an excellent knife, design, steel, heat treat, materials, I'd support them by wearing a survive hat.;)

I have only had great experience with survive! Knives! And I agree positivity trumps grumpiness every time

I've never bought one of their products before but was given a chance to try out a new set of textured scales based on an off-hand comment on an Instagram post. Ellie did what she could to respond quickly to a few email questions I had and upgraded my shipping (without my request) to get a knife to me in time for a weekend trip. I suspect all of this was in the face of a very demanding schedule.

My one regret is that I didn't happen across the company before they relocated from my neck of the woods. If you're ever in town please let me know.

On top of my own personal interactions, I truly admire the product and Guy's dedication to it. I'm really a fan of his innovations and constant search to perfect his product. Thanks, guys.

Great thread idea! All of my interactions with both Guy and Ellie have been great. My only regret about this company is that I didn't stumble across them sooner!

I may be incorrect and if so, someone please correct me but it seems that it was easier and faster to acquire GSO knives in 2012 and 2013 when there were not as many variations in their product line and their knives were not as refined as they are turning out these days. I also wish that I was stricken with this affliction a few years earlier and could have put together a nice GSO family group photo ala OBX and F_D!

I'll be more than happy to show my appreciation and gratitude (with pics) once I receive my very first Survive! knife....... the 4.7 :D

Thank you for taking those pictures of the GSO-4.1 and GSO-5 in that lady's hand (don't want to assume that it was Ellie's, but I think it was) to help my wife choose the knife that would fit her hand. And thank you for send both the 5 and 5.1 as quick as you did when you back a the other shop. And taking time to answer questions about the new HT and explaining why you are not offering the FDE and DLC coatings on your current knives over the the phone.

May you have many years of fortune with the company that you have created.

Thank you Guy and Ellie for delivering such fine knives at such an affordable price. Your international shipping rate is hard to beat too.

Although I only have a 5.1 now, I am fully vested and patiently waiting for my 4.5, 5.1, 6, 7/7, 8, 10 and 12 orders. I trust you will not disappoint. Pls stay focus and continue to deliver the best knife in the market.

Don

Thank you Ellie for your attention to detail and your outstanding dedication to Survive's customers.

Thank you Guy for your continual dedication to excellence and never resting on your laurels.

Both of you know it's not your product nor your service, but your customers that make a business a success. Were a finicky bunch at times though we look forward to moulding the business model as you look forward to moulding your customer base.

Thank you! Guy and Ellie, for your commitment to an outstanding product and outstanding customer service. I am happy to wait as long as it takes you to get me my blades. One thing's for sure: I can trust y'all to be honest and to do your best, and that means the world to me. I'm stoked I found you, I'm stoked I got in on some preorders, and I'm stoked I managed to score a 5.1 on a Monday. What an awesome knife!
Thank You!
Thank You!
Thank You!

Thank you for continuously improving, even though demand for your current products is through the roof. Thankyou for responding to my emails. Thankyou for your instagram updates and blade forums participation. Thanks for getting me into fixed blades. Thanks for your high standards and attention to detail, maintaining or increasing the confidence I have in every S!K knife.

Love your work.

I'm sure its a tough job to handle the growing pains, orders, quality control, ordering/managing materials, customer complaints etc...
For all your efforts, dedication to customer & a quality product that's priced fair....THANKS & CHEERS!

Since people are already accusing me of being a Koolaid drinking Fanboy of this Co, I thought what better place than this thread to resurrect and for me to stamp my 700s post on here all the while giving even more dud and blank ammunition to those who track my post counts and posting area, with apparent zeal.

Yes, I do appreciate S!K and I encourage those who wish to engage with me in verbal Jiu Jitsu (I'm too old and out of combat shape for the real one :D) to bring it on. I am never short of words or opinion, but only remain cordial, polite and salient on limited occasions and certainly at my own pleasure :p
