Before I get crucified here, I listed my Pre-Production sample on fee bay since I just bought the 4.7 second in 20CV here on the exchange.

You can see by my pricing that I'm not out to gouge anyone or make any money on the deal, I just need to recoup some of my money and don't need two of the same knife.

I tested that Cru Forge V hard and it took all I could give. Other than wear marks on the coating from batoning, it would pass for new. I cleaned some fish. Batoned through a log and made kindling and feather sticks, and struck a fire steel with the spine. Toughest knife I ever owned.

I have a testing thread with that 4.7 in it and now I'll add the new one along with my 4.1 in M390 and my 2.7 in 20CV when it gets here (supposed to be a couple months which would be the end of September ish). God I hope it gets here before deer season starts.

Also, if anyone has any new spec 4.7 scales in Jade, I'm interested in trading the black micro textured G10 or paying cash for them.

I think that 20cv will suit you a lot better in your climate.

Thanks Standard.

Yes sir. I've kept that Cru Forge V oiled constantly for fear of rust around here.

I woke up this morning and felt bad about listing it but then a thought occurred to me. The listing allows someone else to get a chance to own part of Survive! history and a chance to buy a S!K at a reasonable price. The listing started at the same price that S!K charges for the 4.7.

I'm a user and not a collector which most people know. Guy and Ellie sent me that knife to test, and I did. Now I've replaced it with another user.

There was/is another 4.7 listed on feebay (I almost bought it) for an outrageous amount.

AND, I bought the new S!K here. :)

I wish i could afford to buy it off you  It's your knife.

And as bay listings go, yours is more honest than many i have seen ;) Good luck, and I'm sorry you had to sell it at all, much more the need to sell it on the bay (don't they take a decent slice?).

keeganxt, you may want to ditch the link as soon as you deem fit, you can be cited by mods for "deal spotting" non-BF-member sites, just letting you know. But thank you.

Holy crap! The bids went crazy on it!
At least you set it at an honest price.

Yes, it started at 189. I thought that was fair. Again, not out to gouge anyone. It ended at 270 and fee bay will take almost 13% of that I think. I'm not sure.

I do sell on the bay but less and less these days. 2014 was 21k in sales. 2016 probably less than 3k if I look it up. Like everyone else, the fees are just getting to be too much. The only thing the bay did for me and everyone else is put the knife out there so everyone had a shot at it and they could bid what THEY thought it was worth to them.

I paid 260 for the 4.7 2nd here on the exchange (transparency) and that was a fair price in my mind because I wanted the 20CV version and it was available. I just couldn't justify having two of the same knife and got lucky to see it before anyone else jumped. And I bought yet another incredible Survive!Knives product.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys. My friends (they are friends to me) here on BF are more important to me than any blade. I'm glad I wasn't judged too harshly. I had mixed emotions at first but I'm just a working class guy with two sons in college and a daughter in high school. At some point, I'll have 3 in college at the same time. $200+ is a lot of money in my house.

The great news is that deer season is right around the corner so I'll have more real world testing and pics to post. ;)

Off to work...........
