Survive S7 steel vs 1095 whats the difference?

1095 is a simple steel that is easy to work, keeps a good edge, and makes a great hunting knife. S7 is more difficult to work, is tougher than 1095, keeps a good edge, and will likewise make a great hunting knife. If the prices are the same I'd choose S7.

Yes, S7 will corrode if neglected. By the way, it is a LOT tougher. FYI, I'll be posting a video of the SK-4 in use (i.e. cutting, batonning, throwing, etc.) next week.
